The Parking Lot

Chris sat in his car, windows rolled down, contemplating whether or not to toke up, he relaxed a bit and laid back on the seat, pulling out his pipe and preparing to light up

Dani saw Chris in his car and started to walk over to him. She got to the window and saw that he was getting ready to smoke. She was disappointed but contemplated walking away.

"wait wait wait!" he said urgently to Dani "i was only thinkin' bout it" he tossed the pipe out of the window where it clattered to the ground "here, get in" he popped the other door open for her

"Only thinking about it.! Thats what you always say." Dani hesitated to get in but she did anyways.

Chris chuckled and leaned in, putting one arm around her and using his other hand to lift her chin up so that he could kiss her lips "so what are you doing out here?"

She kissed him back. "Looking for you," she smiled.

"you worry far to much about me you know that?" he kissed her cheek then softly began kissing her neck "that's why i love you" he chuckled

"I worry because you don't. Honestly, if i didn't come out here you would be smoking that pipe. Wouldn't you?"

Chris chuckled and continued kissing her neck "no, the thought of you would have stopped me"

Dani pulled away. To angry to let Chris kiss her anywhere. "But you wouldn't have thought of me."

"yes i would have" he held her cheek and looked into her eyes "im sorry baby, i really am, its a hard habit to kick" he sighed and dropped his hand, looking away

"If you were sorry, you would quit. No matter how hard it is."

"ive been cutting down, ya don't see cigarette smokers just up and quitting, its a process, at least they have nicotine patches,i haven't seen pot patches" he sighed

Light drove up in his camaro. "Yo chris, Dani, Wassup?"

"Ugh! I don't understand why I bother with you. I should just give up with you," Dani said with anger and hurt in her eyes.

Chris quickly shot a look at Light out of the window, something along the lines of "not right now" he turned to Dani "babe, no please stop, ill quit right now, i can kick it look" he pulled all of what he had out of his pockets and chucked it out the window "please, lets not do this, i don't need it when im with you, i just don't know how to pass the time when im not..." he snuggled up against her arm

"I want to believe you so badly, but something is just telling me that I can't." As she said this a tear rolled down her face, forcing her to look away from Chris.

"no babe please" he took her chin and turned her face towards him, kissing her tear gently away "please, your the single most important thing in my life, i don't want to lose you to something as stupid as a drug, please believe me"

Dani though before she said anything. She thought about how much she loved Chris and that he must not understand how much his smoking hurts her. "Okayy, I'll try to believe you. But you have to really promise me that your going to stop." Dani said to him trying to put a smile on.

"thank you" he kissed her "you wanna get outta here?"

Dani looked at him. "Sure," she said with a smile.

Chris started the car and drove out of the parking lot "so, any ideas on where to go?"

"Anywhere you want to."

"ugh, indecisive as ever" he drove around for a bit "how bout somethin' to eat? where do you wanna go?"

"Okayy. You wanna do eat at Shorties.?" she asked.

"sure" he drove into the drive through and pulled up to the window "so what do you want babe?"

"I don't know. Order for me.?"

"im not gonna order for you! now would you hurry up the lady's waitin'" he chuckled

"Fine then gosh. I'll just have whatever your having." she smiled

Chris sighed "ill have 2 cheeseburgers, a large fry and a large pepsi" he got the food and drove to a nearby quarry where he parked, he gave her one of the cheeseburgers and sat the fries and pepsi between them to share

Dani didn't say anything for a while, she just ate her cheeseburger. after a while the silence became annoying. "So, what do you want to do today?"

"i don't really care as long as its with you" he smiled, wiped away a piece of lettuce hanging from the corner of her mouth and kissed her, despite her mouth being full of food

Dani pulled away. "Kissing and eating at the same time. Not a good decision." She laughed.

Chris laughed "i don't care" but he decided not to do it again, he finished his burger quickly and took a sip of the pepsi "what do you want to do today?"

"Hmm. Want to catch a movie. I'll let you choose which one we watch." she smiled.

"you always do" he laughed then drove to the local Movieplex, he parked and they walked hand in hand to the counter, he looked at the showings for a bit and finally announced "how bout' two tickets to The Last House on The Left" he smiled, passing the money to the man and taking the tickets

Dani didn't say anything about his movie choice.
Once they got into the theater and sat down, she turned to him and said, "You know how scared I get watching these movies." She giggled.

He smiled "i was counting on it" he snuggled up close to her

Dani smiled.
The previews started. "Ugh. I hate previews." she said to herself. Noticing that she said it louder than she wanted to.
